Yet again, folks in Oklahoma City have been pounded by huge hail. Millions in insured losses (at least) were racked up and at least two people were injured as hail up to the size of softballs fell in the Oklahoma City metro area on May 29th. The massive storms which produced the hail formed as a vigorous storm system, more typical of early May, moved across the Plains on Tuesday. More hail storms, along with a threat for tornadoes, will form across the same area again today and then move into the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee River Valleys on Thursday. This system will likely cause more widespread reports of severe weather and damage as it moves east. See the latest Severe Weather Outlooks from the Storm Prediction Center HERE.
