An underground storm shelter is the only way to ensure your safety in all tornadoes but certain parts of your home may provide adequate shelter in most weaker tornadoes – which are MUCH more common than the massive EF-5s that affected Moore, Oklahoma yesterday.  I worked with reporter Adam Ghassemi from the CBS affiliate in Nashville to explain how to identify what part of your home may stand up best in a direct hit.  However, understand that even if you take shelter in your designated safe area, you are still at risk for injury or death if your home is damaged.  See the video HERE.
